Crib that would soon be used by a toddler and would simultaneously also support the naughtiness of my 5 year old

I was looking for a crib that would soon be used by a toddler and would simultaneously also support the naughtiness of my 5 year old with his sister in a playful yet safe manner. We were looking for a crib that would keep our baby safe after she suffered a few falls from the bed when left to sleep. Even the mat on which she was playing did not keep her and she would wander to gather unattended dust particles to put in her mouth. I wanted the options of colours to choose from and the designs to choose from

My mom suggested me mom ‘n’ me outlets. I went to tolichowki, Madhapur outlets. The biggest crib there seemed a little smaller. At Inorbit mall, I went to Shoppers Stop Mothercare and Mothercare exclusive showroom. The cribs available were in white colour which I disliked as they would become prone to stains of my toddlers activities in the long run. I visited various ‘Furniture Malls’ at Kondapur,Gachibowli, Shaikpet….. none had the cribs on display or for sale. I was referred to hometown at Punjagutta saying they have all kinds of furniture. Even there I could not get a glimpse of a crib I had dreamt of for my baby.

I did online search, and could get only three references…mom ‘n’ me, Mothercare and Wudplay. Obviously on US sites I could see many cribs, which I could not order due to selection and shipping hurdles.

I was searching over the net for the best cribs available, and I could see advertisements of Wudplay in Facebook. On reading the testimonies in their website, I found the product encouraging to explore. Luckily, Wudplay has an outlet in Hyderabad, so I could visit the place to see and feel the product. It was as described in the website. I had the colour options to choose from and the crib designs to choose from. The options available made me go for Wudplay. My son and baby had a nice lively experience together in the crib and this made me go for the product.

It was a tough decision to decide from the best prevailing brands Mom ‘n’ me and Mother Care over a brand that existed but was becoming popular among those who had used it. Since I was looking for a product that would also be comfortable for my 5 year old, the bedding support weight for me was very important. I preferred to go for Wudplay as it recommends the kids of up to 70 kg are supported. In my ease my baby turning into a toddler can comfortably play with her brother without the fear of falls.

Other available brands support a weight of upto 30 kg which was discouraging for me to go for those brands as then as my two kids grow, they could not use it together. Secondly, My baby has the habit of crawling around the house to find something (could be slippers !!) to put in her mouth. So, if left unattended for some time, there is no fear that she will roam around after getting up from her sleep to find something to put in her mouth. The conversions of the crib to a toddler bed, or to be used as a diwan and later as a sofa for the kids was a very appealing and lucrative idea for me. I could imagine my kids growing up together, eating together and having a fun time together at one place, without needing other additional resources. In Wudplay, I had the options of colours and the variants in designs made me look into the brand. The crib being of teakwood is more sturdy and would be comfortable for the playing tiny tots

I could not manage my baby with ease as wherever I kept her near me, be it a chair, bed, stroller, or on floor, she seemed to fall prey to injuries. At Wudplay, it seemed my search for ease had stopped.
